Dear Couples,

Thank you for joining us for Week 1 of our We Still Do marriage journey! We pray that Sunday’s lesson inspired and encouraged you as we begin this exciting six-week experience of Renewing Our Covenant, Rebuilding Our Connection, and Rediscovering Our Celebration.

As part of your Week 1 participation, please complete the following assignments before our next class.

Week 1 Assessment

Attendance credit is required.

To receive credit for attending Week 1, each individual must complete the Week 1 Assessment.

Both partners must complete the assessment individually.

Completing the assessment serves as your attendance verification and participation credit for the first class.

Complete the assessment by Thursday, July 23, 2026.

Week 1 Connection Conversation

Set aside 30 uninterrupted minutes this week. Turn off the television, silence your phones, and intentionally focus on each other.

Part 1 – Looking Back

Take turns answering each question.

What is one thing your spouse did this past week that made you feel loved or appreciated?
What is one area where you feel the two of you have drifted apart that you would like to reconnect?

Part 2 – Looking Forward

What is one communication habit you would like for the two of you to improve together?
How can I better support you emotionally this week?
What is one intentional activity we can do together over the next seven days to strengthen our marriage?

Couple Reflection

After completing your conversation together, discuss the following:

What did you learn about your spouse this week that you did not know before?
What is one commitment you are making before God to strengthen your marriage?

We Still Do Covenant

Before closing your time together, hold hands and read this covenant aloud.

Today, we choose to renew our covenant, rebuild our connection, and rediscover the joy and celebration of our marriage.

We commit to intentionally love one another, communicate with grace, listen with compassion, forgive quickly, encourage often, and pursue God’s purpose for our marriage.

We understand that strong marriages are built one choice at a time, and today we boldly declare…
