Week 2 Follow-Up
Assignment & Assessment
Dear Couples,
Thank you for joining us for Week 2 of our
We Still Do marriage journey! We pray that this
week's lesson, “How to Cultivate a Loving
Relationship,” encouraged you to recognize that healthy
marriages don't happen by accident—they are intentionally
cultivated through Christ-centered love, grace, forgiveness,
service, and daily investment.
As we continue Renewing Our Covenant, Rebuilding Our
Connection, and Rediscovering Our Celebration, we
encourage you to complete this week's assignments together
before our next class.

Week 2 Connection Conversation
Set aside 30 uninterrupted minutes this week.
Turn off the television, silence your phones, and intentionally
invest in one another.
Part 1 – Nurturing Our Love
Take turns answering each question.
-
What is one thing your spouse has done recently that made you
feel deeply loved and appreciated?
-
What is one “little weed” such as busyness, poor
communication, unforgiveness, neglect, or distractions that
could quietly weaken our relationship if we don't address it
now?
-
What is one way I can better demonstrate Christ-like love to
you this week?
Part 2 – Cultivating Our Marriage
Discuss these questions together.
-
What is one habit we want to intentionally cultivate to
strengthen our marriage?
-
How can we place Christ more intentionally at the center of
our marriage this week?
-
What is one practical way we can invest in our relationship
over the next seven days?
Couple Reflection
After completing your conversation together, discuss the
following:
-
What lesson from this week's teaching challenged you the most,
and why?
-
What is one area where you have seen growth in your marriage
since beginning this journey?
-
What is one intentional action you will both take this week to
cultivate a stronger, healthier marriage?
We Still Do Covenant
Before closing your time together, hold hands and read this
covenant aloud.
Today we choose to intentionally cultivate the love God has
entrusted to us.
We commit to placing Christ at the center of our marriage,
extending grace and forgiveness, serving one another with
humility, and investing in our relationship every day.
We will guard our hearts, remove the “little weeds” that
threaten our connection, and choose love through our words and
actions.
Together, we will continue renewing our covenant, rebuilding
our connection, and rediscovering the celebration found in a
Christ-centered marriage.
WE STILL DO!
